Amazing Italian Stuffed Shells with Kale

 

I have been working on my patio garden and harvested some oregano, sweet basil, lemon basil and kale.

Oh and my pansies were so pretty I wanted to share them as well!

I brought these all in and put together the most amazing Italian Shells with Kale so I thought you might enjoy the recipe!

Chop up kale, oregano, basils and garlic.

Brown lean hamburger meat and drain grease.

Brown sweet Italian sausage and cut in slices.

Heat up your favorite marinara sauce and enhance with the

fresh basil, oregano and garlic; add hamburger and Italian sausage and simmer.

Boil shells with a tad of salt and oil.

Mix ricotta cheese, garlic, basil, oregano and kale for the stuffing in the shells.

Lightly oil a baking dish, add the shells and stuff with cheese filling.

Cover with marinara and meat sauce.

Cover with chopped kale.

Cover with mozzarella and bake at 375 for 3 to 45 min (until bubbling)
